Founded by Pa Ngoula Jean, also known as Pa’a Amour Mezam

The story of Amour Mezam is inseparable from the life, vision, and determination of Pa Ngoula Jean, affectionately called Pa’a Amour Mezam. Born in 1936, Pa Ngoula Jean was a man of deep humility, discipline, and service to community. Throughout his life, he believed in creating opportunities not only for himself and his family, but also for the wider society around him.
Origins and Vision

In the mid-1990s, public road transportation in Cameroon was expanding, but few companies provided reliable, safe, and dignified travel experiences for passengers in the North West and across the nation. With a strong understanding of community needs and a reputation as a unifier and provider, Pa Ngoula Jean envisioned a transport service built on respect, care, and security.
In 1998, he founded Amour Mezam Transport Agency, beginning modestly with only a small number of buses. The name “Amour Mezam” symbolized both love and belonging — “Amour,” meaning love, and Mezam, referring to the Mezam Division, the land and people he proudly represented. The brand carried his identity, his values, and his legacy.

Growth and Service to Community
Through honesty, dedication, and consistent service, Amour Mezam quickly earned the trust of travelers. Pa’a Amour Mezam placed emphasis on:
- Safety and careful driving
- Neat, respectful customer service
- Punctuality and reliability
- Professional and well-trained drivers
These values helped the agency establish itself as one of the most respected transport companies in the region. Over the years, Amour Mezam’s fleet expanded, serving passengers traveling between:
- Bamenda
- Yaoundé
- Douala
- And other major locations
For many families, professionals, students, and traders, Amour Mezam became more than a travel service — it became a trusted link between home, work, and opportunity.
